Castillo de Locubín is a village located in the south-western corner of the province of Jaén, in Andalucia, Spain. Cherry Blossom Casa is in the centre of the village. The 5-bedroom classic white washed house is decorated in a chic Spanish/European style with simple but elegant furnishings and all the comforts of home. The house is set over 3 floors and has 2 bathrooms, it includes an eat in kitchen, large dining room, cosy lounge and an alfresco balcony with view of the countryside. There are also laundry facilities onsite and excellent WIFI.
Castillo de Locubin is located a 50 minutes drive through the mountains from Granada, in the Jaen province renowned for its olive groves and cherries, natural rugged landscape, rich culture and history. It is located off the main road to Cordoba 10 minutes drive from the town of Alcala La Real. It is a traditional white washed Spanish working town with a rich heritage stretching back to Moorish times. It is definitely a place you can use as a useful jumping off point to explore the rest of the region, with its’ distinct atmosphere and culture. Rest assured that you will certainly have arrived in the REAL SPAIN.
"Janet’s townhouse is situated in the heart of the village and is very well appointed. We had the full run of the house, which included sitting room, kitchen, bathroom, shower room and patio. The casa was typical for the area, with lots of interesting architectural features. The village itself has bars, restaurants, local small shops and a large supermarket full of interesting Spanish produce. Close by is the source of the San Juan River which appears in ice cold lagoons, with crystal clear waters, which are great for cooling off from the summer heat. I would definitely recommend a stay at Janet’s, where you will be made very welcome and treated as one of the family."
